Here is my website. I’ve thought for quite a while about having one, although I hesitated for along time because I really didn’t know what I’d do with one!

So, here I am. I’ll post photos from trips and such and some of my art (I work mostly in paper and occasionally in polymer clay), and I have 2 blogs - one for personal stuff and one for my art-related topics. Finally, I’ll post some art tutorials now and again.

about the name...

If you look at my photos, you’ll see that I love to take pictures of doors. I think doors are fascinating. So, when I finally decided to create a site, I started playing with different names and ‘random doorways’ came to mind (and a quick search found that the URL was still available!).

It represents my love of doors and also conjures in my mind the different paths or doorways that we walk through during our life.

On April 18, 2009 the counter was up to 13,539, then my site had a meltdown (I lost a few critical files and couldn’t recover them). So I rebuilt the entire site. So, whatever the number is, just add 13,539 to that to see the REAL number if hits on this page.
